I noticed beautiful photographic images of you at Instagram, brought out of curiosity at your WordPress blog.
Does this fungus / slime mold get its name from the Japanese writer, biologist, naturalist and ethnologist Minakata Kumagusu?
Thank you for your interest in my slime mould images.
I just checked the original description of Minakatella longifila and you are correct. Mr Kamagusu Minakata found the specimen on a living Persimmon tree in Japan in 1917. Here is a link to a pdf of the original description of the species: https://eumycetozoa.com/data/report.php?busca=minakatella&por=gensi&numr=664&tipo=Rtax&seepdf=si
